Keep off from people's relationship palava

I have heard countless times on how people who don't mind their business and poke nose in people's relationships end up being the villain when the couple eventually settle.

The couples might even use you to settle the quarrel while you are there taking sides and being judgemental.

About last week, my friend gisted me about her boyfried who broke up with her, she was really hurt so as the almighty advocator and obonge relationship settler that i am, i ended up calling the nigga asking reasons for the breakup.
The guy made it point blank that he was done with the relationship and there was no going back.
I had to advice my friend to move on as her bobo is no longer interested in the relationship, i referred her to books, songs and motivational videos and quotes to keep going.
It wasn't easy as most-times when i even call she would sound like her whole world had fallen apart, till gradually her voice started brightening up.
I applauded her for getting over him and told lots of stories on how evil guys were, she was playing along. Little did i know that the two had reunited.

How i found out?
I was surfing the internet with her phone one fine evening and a whatsapp message popped in from a number. Her boyfriend's name is George(not real name).. and the name was stored as G.
"You just got a message o? who be G?" i asked innocently
"oh,,its Gina, give me the phone" she hurriedly bounced out of the kitchen.
I was curious immediately and we dragged the phone tirelessly till i suceeded in scrolling up to previous messages and found out that it was her boyfriend.
I was shocked!

I was heartbroken oo.... I handed the phone back to my friend and sat down quietly without uttering a word. She was also confused on how to explain what happened to me.
I guess i was already engrossed with another man's relationship forgetting my boundaries, she finally disclosed how they got back together immediately after the breakup and i just got to know a week later.

I was unaware of what was happening all along, and since then i vowed to stay clear off people's relationship and mind my business.
If you have issues with your man, settle it. Avoid third parties.
And for relationship advisers like me, it is wrong to take sides when couples are not on good terms, learn not to be biased or sentimental in your opinions.

The heart of men

My heart is so broken. I don't think i have ever seen a sad incident of this kind before in my life.
Is it that most people are born with wickedness, hatred and envy for one other?
To the extent that they can go extra miles to inflict sorrows, torture or any outrageous act on their fellow being.

I feel for this Priscillia the distraught widow, whose husband, Paschal got dragged several poles by Udoh, with his Toyota Camry before he finally stopped after he was satisfied with his evil deed.

The evil of just one man has caused heartaches to a family and this incident will linger on.

According to Sunday Sun, the deceased, who hailed from Eziudo Mbaise, Imo State, was said to have alighted from his vehicle and walked over to meet the driver of the Camry.

Sunday Sun gathered that he placed his hand on the door of the Camry, when Udoh allegedly refused to alight from his own car for them to resolve the matter. Rather, Udoh quickly wound up the glass, trapping Pascal’s hand and then sped off.

The widow narrated:

"After driving off from our home, we passed through Rumukrushi and turned at the Shell gate, before joining the MTN link Road where we saw the car trying to link the Oil Mill road. The Camry hit and dented my husband’s Honda CRV and both of them stopped and my husband alighted from his vehicle and went to meet him. But Udoh refused to alight from his own car. My husband’s hand was still in the door of Udoh’s car and he quickly wound up the glass with my husband’s hand trapped between the glass and the door frame. Then he sped off and dragged him several poles before he stopped."

In the process of dragging the victim, his body hit the hard pavement severally. Satisfied, Udoh stopped the car, came down, opened the door and pulled the near lifeless body of the victim away and attempted to drive off. But luck ran out on him, as he was stopped by eyewitnesses, who stormed the scene and held him. The mob was said to have tortured the suspect and was about to give him jungle justice before he was rescued by policemen from Elelewon police station, where he was being detained as at the time of filing this report.

"Firstly, I rushed my husband to Saint Jude Hospital, Elelewon, Pano Hospital, and later, Saint Martin’s Hospital at Stadium Road. He was later referred to Braithwaite Memorial Hospital (BMH) and later, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) where he died."

My candid advice to everyone is, it is not everyone you see fully clothed that are humanbeings. Some are beasts of no nation, sadists, terrorists.

We should be very careful, Paschal's story is what can happen to any man  but Udoh Inhuman reaction is devilish and rare.

Was i hurt? I was broken - Toke Makinwa reveals how Maje Ayida scandal cost her N20m deal

Nigerian Vlogger and Author, Toke Makinwa, revealed how she lost a deal after Maje Ayida’s infidelity scandal hit the media, and also losing a potential sponsor who had shown interest in championing her book tour after Maje slammed her with a N100m lawsuit.

The 32 year old TV host shared a post on her Instagram handle to encourage people going through defeating moments in their life.

She has however disclosed hint on her new sponsor “I can’t wait to share who our sponsor for the OnBecominginSA is, they are not just flying me to SA, my entire team is coming to and everything is paid for in full,” she says.

Her post:
  • "When God is involved, it can never be for less. In my life I have seen him come thru so many times I'll be selfish if I kept it to myself. I remember when we started the OnBecoming tour, we approached a number of companies for sponsorship and one particular incident left me sooo broken. We had been talking back and forth and all was looking exciting till the news of the legal suit hit the press. I remember I was in Ghana and the night before OnBecominginGhana was amazing. I woke up in such high spirit till the news filtered the air and then I got that call, our "potential" had pulled out. I read that text over and over again in tears, they pulled out because they didn't want to be thrown in the middle of it all (who can blame them) boy was I hurt, I was broken. I had put so much into this project and prayed so hard yet here I was disappointed, I felt I wasn't good enough, I couldn't pray and then it hit me, this has happened before, I remember when the news of my marriage hit the press I was in the middle of signing a 20million Naira deal, all was good to go till news broke and it seemed like what everyone was talking about. They pulled out. It was bad timing.I remember how I held the toilet bowl all night, I have never felt that kind of pain in my life. I have worked hard, prayed hard and God knows I needed that money. My life had changed overnight, I was trying to hold on to everything and it seemed like everything was working against me but God came thru, he provided much more than that deal and I have never had to look back to think "if only" I had that money, he kept blessing me. In both cases God over compensated me🙏 SA is looking really good 😊, I can't wait to share who our sponsor for the OnBecominginSA is, they are not just flying me to SA, my entire team is coming to and everything is paid for in full. Why do I share this you may ask? Perhaps you woke up this morning feeling defeated, you are about to stop trying, you're so sure your idea sucks and no one will support you, hold on. You are closer than you know,. God has bigger and better plans for you, he knows you've cried all night, he knows what this means to you, he will come thru even better ❤️"

4 possible ways to detect a fake job interview

The rate at which job seekers are being scammed or used by some so called fake employers is indeed alarming and that prompted me to write this.
Based on experience, I got a job interview from JIJI.ng site and it ended up being a scam. I am not saying all jobs on this site are not genuine (my friend got one) am just implying that we all have to be careful as so many things are happening all in the name of job vacancy.

Here, we bring you 4 possible ways to detect a fake job interview based on my research:

       1. No website:

In these present times, how can a real business organisation or company not have a website?

To me, it is strange and gives room for suspicion.

The Job interview that I got which was fake, when i asked the lady in charge; she bluntly said “Our website is currently under notification”.

You can imagine the baseless reason she gave, what sums it all up was the fact that it wasn’t even a genuine job.

So, before you go for that job interview make sure you browse their website to be well informed of the goods or services they provide.

Although some companies or business are genuine but are yet to own a website, but at least source out information first to be on the right side.

        2. No location on Google map:

How is that even possible? You type the location/address for the interview on the map and the location does not even exist, then that is more than a big sign to know that you need to run for your dear life before it is too late.

If you are using an older version, upgrade your map and try again.

        3. Monetary Demands:

This is even after you have fallen prey to the predators. Ensure that you don’t pay to get a job where is that even done?

The fake one i experienced we were asked to pay 10,000 each at the spot either through P.O.S. You can see how desperate they were… we just have to be very careful and don’t pay to anyone for a job.

If you have to pay to get a job, then I sincerely don’t think it is genuine.

SHINE YOUR EYES WELL!

         4. No records at all:

Research, research and research continuously on where you are heading to for the interview.

Fake companies have no records at all and most of them use the excuse of being a NEW COMPANY.

At least, even if you have no idea on the place, venue or goods and services, make thorough research for your own good.

Poem Saturday- Tears of a widow

When they walked me to this door,
and my bags, and my baggage
and all I could lure.

Since little Morenike went with Ayinla,
and the whispers and insults from small-small children now grows yonder.

Here I've come, I've seen and I've for so long, been.
Adewunni was really a man,
a beautiful man that makes ladies want to woo man.
An Alpha in the names of men of God.

The simple kindness as drawn in his smile knows no Omega.
Even, until after he fell from the back of *Agbegi Truck*.
And his back, could stand on land no more.

And my joy was broken and never be mend no more...
My night lost its glow,
many mornings have met me mourning.
A better life of mine,
went with you from my hundred.

My husband! Was a thousand dramas in a movie.
A million sorry
won't dry the flood of agony
in my love story.

6 common ways social media can improve your life

According to WIKIPEDIA Social media are computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks.

Everything with a disadvantage also has an advantage, and there are ways in which social media can improve your lifestyle.

I just believe that in whatever you do, there is always a motive or expectations before you indulge in it. So, for everyone on the social media we all have what we are looking for, it could be companionship, business purposes and so many others.

Here, we bring you 6 ways in which the social media can help to improve your life:

1. Business purposes:
With the growth of online sales of goods and services the social media has made it much easier for buyers and sellers to easily link up and purchase their desired item.

It is not even necessary you own a shop before you embark on this business, you could just post a clear picture of the item with price tags on your social media page or handle and the right audience will patronize you. Although, one has to be careful, ensure you buy from recognized online stores to avoid being duped. Most cases have been heard of scammers who use this platform to their advantage especially when it’s a pay before delivery service.

Websites, social media platforms are all platforms that can be used to grow your business in terms of sales and profitability by reaching more customers quickly and cheaply (Strive Masiyiwa).

  2.  Social life:
Life is all about socializing, meeting new people, learning so many cultural differences, different tribes and getting connected globally. It has made it easier for one in Nigeria to chat or video call a friend in London. It has also helped in retaining long distance relationships and also connecting people to old and new friends.

3. Information:
It is no doubt that information is power and when you are well informed from the right source, you stand a better chance at understanding what is going on around you.
It could be been up to date with trends or news ranging from different topics.

4. Education:
With the development of the internet, one can now study online, attend lectures, take exams and so many other things affiliated to learning.
It also helps you to brush your skills in written or oral English by providing contents on YouTube for viewers to learn better.
Your Facebook feeds from friends or mutual friends could also motivate you, teach, and could enlighten you more but that is if you have the right friends on your list.

5. Inspiration:
Inspiration is needed in our day to day lives, something to always remind us that our struggles won’t last long.
It still goes down to the kind of people you are friends with or following on social media.
If you have a friend’s list of materialistic and show-offs, you don’t expect such set of people to inspire or motivate you to being better. You will only be forced to believe that life is so easy and rosy but when you follow or make friends with business minded people, people aligned with your goals in life, you tend to learn much better and improve yourself intellectually.

6. Relationship:
Stories have emerged recently on how Social media have made and marred relationships.
The good thing is it has really helped to groom and nurture most relationships online.
You can observe that some relationships online start from the private message thereby making it even easier for a lady to profess her interest for a man first.
So many social media users have had serious relationships that started online and most of them led to marriage or good friends for life.
For some, it did not work that way as so many lapses may occur, but regardless the social media has really brought about good relationships.
Some people can be so shy to profess or admit their interest in you, but can do so more easily through the use of social media.

With the way technology is going, as a lady you rarely see a man who would stop you on the way to woo you out rather they ask for your social media handle to reach out to you better.

NB: I am not sure if this is inclusive but i spoke with a friend of mine the other day and he said that his Facebook posts denied him visa to the U.S.
I was surprised and asked why and how come and he revealed that he was part of the Anti-Trump, people who never wanted Donald Trump to win the Election and ended up making denigrating comments about him.

The thing is, the world is developing and more importance is been placed on the social media this days, to the extent that auditions and other forms you fill for important purposes, there is a space for you to write your social media handle or page.

One has to be careful of stuffs you post online.
You are not the only one who sees your post, the world to sees it too, so be well guarded because soon enough you will likely suffer repercussions.

Hope this was educating, you could also share with your friends and family too.

Cheers!!!

Fasten your seatbelt and move

People like me who are regular visitors to the public bus would understand the struggle of the seat belt in buses.

You are opportune to see some of them looking like an abandoned rope, some don't even have that buckle meant for holding it while some seat belts are non-existent.

The ones that are most common in Lagos Danfos are the MISSING BUCKLES and the ones that the belt itself is supported by a tiny rope begging for survival.

Despite all this lapses the bus driver will still urge you to put it on. We see this everyday oblivious of the lessons and i want to relate it to our individual lives in general.

The Danfos with the missing buckles for fastening, the belt is mostly being kept by the side sometimes with our hand supporting it or our body which shows that during the journey no matter how rough it may seem there is always a backup plan, and instead of you sulking on the insufficiency just improvise and live in the moment.

The ones supported by a tiny rope are the ones whose life are short spanned but still choose to hold on and forge ahead.

We have our various struggles, setbacks, obstacles, trials, failures, success, heartbreaks and all but sitting up and moving ahead is always the answer.

Sulking or rejecting the little things around you won't solve anything, at the end of the day you will still have to fasten your seat belts and keep going.

The driver depicts your maker, creator and personal Savior who despite everything you seem to go through encourages you to put on your Armour to shield you from danger.

So, have you fastened your belts today?

Poem Saturday: My Religion, My Oblivion

Serve me no plate on the stage of religion!
Cage further not my fate and oblivion.

I concur! There is God!
His hands cut through globe like sword.

But, i won't move to Muslim messed-sages,
Nor dance or be chanced with their christened
chained crosses that shades their rigors,
in numerous figures.

My good God needs not to be seen,
but his smart eyes see our sins.
Eledumare got no child,
only Karma that catches like plight!

Add your rights!
what is left?
Leave my God's fights!
He knows best!...

Nothing like Freedom

We wake up every blessed day feeling all refreshed, stretch our bodies, yawn loudly, shower and just move to our various places of interest or work.

Some also work from home but the fact is at least your movements are not being restricted by anyone and we should be more grateful for this opportunity.

Sitting in a public bus on my way home from the island, i saw a big green bus, it looked like a pickup van but this one is way bigger and officers were on the front seat, at the side of the big pick up van, a man struck out his hands pleading to the passengers in my bus screaming "Help your neighbors" repeatedly.

There were also some people in the pick up van who followed suit and some stood oblivious of whatever that was going on around them, it was also evident that they were being bundled based on crimes they committed and innocent chaps could also be present.

I didn't know what gave me the courage to signal to an officer who was smiling at me and asked him why they were handcuffed, the face full of smiles turned to fury as he looked at me and pointed to the congested area of the bus signaling i will join them if I don't mind my business.

I just looked away and pondered on how lucky we are, the people who are free don't even know what they have  and some neglect or misuse this chance.

Sincerely, I have always nursed the desire to go to the prison, to just see how it looks like, I don't mean being behind bars just a visit. I mean i always wanted to know and understand how life was for them over there not until I heard a gruesome experience from my uncle..his story made me dread that place he explained that that was the fastest place to get the Ebola infection, during the Ebola reign.

They were being jampacked together and were he stayed overnight was like a living hell, he also narrated how he was wrongly accused and how it got sorted out the next morning.
I believe his case was better since he had people to fight for him, what about those who have no one to vouch for them,to bail them or even cater for them and they end up rotting in jail.

We are just so lucky!!

We just have to cherish our freedom dearly!!
Most people wish to be like you.
