Victoria Kimani set to quit Chocolate City
Kenyan born singer, Victoria Kimani is set to quit the Chocolate Music Records Label, which she got signed on to five years ago.
She took to her Instagram to post a hint on her new move:
Man "these labels got me feelin independent! But still I keep pushing cuz greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Safari is my last project with @choccitymusic .... Excited about what's next'.
The 32-year-old singer, caught the attention of Chocolate City executives after her remake of Ice Prince's “Oleku”.
The record label was on the verge of opening a branch in Kenya when she caught its attention and was signed on to Chocolate City Kenya in 2012.
She was also the first female artist to sign into the label, where she released her first single under the label, “Mtoto”, Swahili word for Child later in March 2013.
Milli, Pryse, Ice Prince and Brymo has left the record label in recent times, seems Victoria Kimani has joined the others.
