Discover Yourself: Handling Pressure

We really should have an idea of what the word Pressure means and it could occur in negative and also positive ways.

Pressure can be draining and also helpful, it can propel you to make decisions that could make or even mar your life.

It is prevalent in relationships, homes, workplaces, churches and so many others.

One can be placed under pressure to do things he/she will ordinarily feel it’s impossible. Let’s cite an example: Ada owns a business in Nigeria and has always been scared of expanding her fabric business to other countries, but due to pressing needs, demands she had to give it a shot despite the risk involved and it turned out to be a huge success for her business. This is a good case of pressure as it turned out to be better.

For the negative aspect: Bayo’s parents constantly reminds him on the need to get married, he had always wanted to take his time as marriage is for eternity, but his parents won’t let him be. He had to opt for a random girl just to please his parents and this caused him his fortune as she was a spendthrift, a nagging, promiscuous wife. He was in for it already and he alone had the cross to bear.

It could even be peer pressure: cultism, prostitution and other vices.

We just have to be careful in handling any kind of pressure, so you need to look before you leap, find a balance to control any kind of pressure you are facing and always think well of the consequences of your actions before you act.

BE GOOD!
