Secret

I have always known her since Secondary School, the way she dresses, her composure, charisma, accent and all endeared many.

She was a staunch church goer always preaching the word of God at the slightest opportunity, quick to judge and condemn people believing she was the perfect one.

We got closer and I was more than shocked she was single, and has never had a boyfriend before, this was so rare but I believed her..

I got closer since this was a good girl and I would love to be associated with people like her, she was also indeed very helpful academically and in my spiritual growth.

Not until I heard something I never expected in my wildest dreams.

My neighbour who was also a friend of hers too revealed a secret..

"Babe, i know you will find this hard to believe but its the simple truth" Ronke said sounding convincing.
"What is it about?" I asked, curious.
"Its about Mary our friend?" Ronke said.
"So? What's with her that I won't believe?" I asked.
"Umm...ok ..she came to my house a particular day and started making advances at me."Ronke said avoiding my eyes.
"I don't get ...Advances ke??.. How??" I asked confused
"Lemme finish talking...*sighs* she told me she loved me and would want us to be more than friends." Ronke said.
"What??" I was shocked beyond words
"Are u sure about this? Like very sure?" This is unbelievable I swear. Mary acts all righteous and always dress like a saint" I said, mouth agape.
"Of course I am...will I frame this up ..we have been doing it for sometime now and I feel guilty and bad all the time. The other she kissed me and sucked my breasts and it hurts me so badly, had to voice it out." She said, bowing her head in shame.
"Oh my!! Why drag yourself to this all this while, been quiet and letting yourself used by the devil." I was still recovering from shock when Ronke burst in tears.

This is serious...we most times judge people by their outward appearance and it's bad.

Some might dress skimpy but are still good eggs , while some who cover their body from neck to toes are even the real whores.

We just need to guard ourselves and be careful of our circle..

Discover Yourself: Dealing with Low Self-Esteem

If there is one thing you should always remember and bear in mind it is the fact that you are a unique being.

There is nothing that drains one’s positive vibes than low self-esteem, it makes you feel less of yourself, makes you to start comparing yourself with others so the earlier you learn to get rid of those negative thoughts beclouding you, the better.

Not knowing your self-worth limits you and tends to make one suffer from inferiority complex.
Low self-esteem also makes you gullible, you become so vulnerable to fall for peer pressure and other vices.

Getting off that shell prepares you for something juicy, something you would always wished you started long ago.

That positive thought propelling you to take the right step, just do it and stop caring about what people will say.

True, people will talk and talk no matter what, so do your thing and leave them to talk.

BE GOOD
